Frequently asked
How accurate is the time difference?
Time is computed live from your browser using Intl.DateTimeFormat against the IANA tz database. That means daylight saving switches are picked up automatically — including jurisdictions that have changed their rules recently (Mexico, Iran, Jordan, Türkiye).
Where does the weather come from?
Live conditions are fetched from Open-Meteo, a free weather API that requires no key and stores no personal data. If the request fails (offline, blocked), the rest of the page still works.
What about my privacy?
No tracking, no analytics, no cookies. We never ask for your location — the auto-theme picks light or dark from your browser's IANA timezone (the same one your OS already uses), and the weather call is the only outbound request the page makes.
Can I link directly to a specific city pair?
Yes. Each published pair has a clean URL, for example https://timedifferencebetween.com/berlin-mexico-city. Any other combination works through /pair?from=<slug>&to=<slug>.
